the old grey mare ain't what she used to be...
Tonight I helped daughter number 3 move out of her apartment. Over the years I have helped all 5 kids move in and out of houses and apartments. I have packed my old Jeep Cherokee so tight not one more CD could slide in. I have driven from Rhode Island to Maine with items teetering precariously from my roof, waved goodbye to the statute of Liberty bringing Maureen home from New York. Up and down 3.flights of stairs barely breaking a sweat...but let me tell you this old grey mare just ain't what she used to be! Tonight I jammed my finger into a door frame and now my finger is so swollen I can't wear my wedding rings...I tripped, not once, but twice within 5 minutes lugging boxes into her storage unit. Both knees are skinned, swollen and bruised, every muscle in my body is slowly beginning to ache. Two of my kids have purchased their own homes and with God's good graces, won't be moving any time soon!! My prayers are now for the final 3...they don't need mansions...little cottages will do just fine...anything so this old Mama can relax knowing her kiddos are safely tucked in!! My moving days are just about over. :)

Lazy Sunday
Today has been one of those lazy Sundays. It was sunny but cold, I puttered, but finished little.
I am working on new ideas for the antique mall, but need a handy man's help??? In my head I know what I want, but can't seem to make it work..hmm..can't give up! Anyway I am a newbie to this blogging thing..soooo much to learn! Sometimes it is frustrating..but I know I will love it when I get the swing of it! So hello!!! I am a mother of 5, a grandmother of 6 and a lover of all things vintage! I am also an avid gardener. My best friend, Patti and I started selling our "treasures" this summer in the Hallowell Antique Mall. It has been an adventure..we love it, but there is so much to learn. Following other blogs has been such a help..so I decided it was time to try it myself. Hope you all will help???
